The Bible vividly describes the conditions and events that will occur before Jesus Christ's return and the end times. While some of these may seem daunting, it's essential to understand the broader context and the call to action for believers. We will look at this in this video sermon, offering reassurance and guidance. Here are a few highlights.
Matthew 24 - Jesus describes various signs preceding His return, including false Christs, wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution of believers, and the gospel's spread. These signs are likened to birth pains, indicating an increase in frequency and intensity but not signaling the immediate end.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 - The apostle Paul describes the moral decay and societal issues that will characterize the last days, including selfishness, materialism, arrogance, disobedience, and a form of godliness without power. These traits have been present throughout history and manifest in various forms today.
1 Timothy 4:1-5 - Paul warns about the dangers of apostasy, deception, and false teaching in the latter times. These threats to the faith are not confined to a specific period but have been ongoing challenges for the Church.
Luke 19:11-27 - Jesus tells a parable about a nobleman who goes away to receive a kingdom and then returns. In the nobleman's absence, his servants are entrusted with resources and instructed to engage in business until his return. This parable emphasizes the responsibility of believers to be faithful stewards and actively serve God's kingdom purposes until Christ comes again.
Biblical Truths: Understanding The End Times!
In light of these passages, it's evident that the world will face challenges and trials leading up to the return of Jesus Christ. However, believers are not called to fear or fatalism but to faithfulness, diligence, and productivity in fulfilling God's purposes. Rather than focusing solely on the negative aspects of the end times, Christians are urged to maintain a strong sense of hope, trust unwaveringly in God's sovereignty, and actively engage in advancing His kingdom on earth.
Ultimately, the Bible makes clear that God is in control of history and that His plans will come to fruition despite challenges and opposition. Therefore, believers are encouraged to live with a spirit of power, love, and self-control, knowing that their labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Romans 10:14-15 - How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
