What does the Holy Spirit do? He has a crucial role in the Christian's life and is the present-day demonstration of God on earth today. After Jesus ascended, He sent the Holy Spirit to us. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate and our Helper.

What Does The Holy Spirit Do In Our Lives
1 - The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment
John 16:8 - When He comes, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment:
2 - He guides us into all truth.
John 16:13 - But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own authority. But He will speak whatever He hears, and He will tell you things that are to come.
3 - The Spirit regenerates us.
John 3:5-8 - 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Titus 3:5 - not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of rebirth and the renewal of the Holy Spirit,
4 - The Holy Spirit glorifies and testifies of Christ.
John 15:26 - “But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me.
John 16:14 - He will glorify Me, for He will receive from Me and will declare it to you.
5 - He reveals Christ to us and in us.
John 16:14-15 - He will glorify Me, for He will receive from Me and will declare it to you. All that the Father has is Mine. Therefore I said that He will take what is Mine and will declare it to you.
6 - The Holy Spirit leads us.
Romans 8:14 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
Galatians 5:18 - But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Matthew 4:1 - Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil.
Luke 4:1 - Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
7 - He sanctifies us.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 - Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
1 Peter 1:2 - elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification by the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:16 - The gift is not like the result that came through the one who sinned. For the judgment from one sin led to condemnation, but the free gift, which came after many trespasses, leads to justification.
8 - He empowers us.
Luke 4:14 - Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. And His fame went throughout the surrounding region.
Luke 24:49 - And look, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 - The Holy Spirit fills us.
Ephesians 5:18 - Do not be drunk with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit.
and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
Acts 2:4 - Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:
Acts 4:8 - When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.
Acts 9:17 - Then Ananias went his way and entered the house. Putting his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the way as you came, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
10 - He teaches and helps us to pray.
Romans 8:26-27 - Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Jude 1:20 - But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit.
11 - The Holy Spirit bears witness in us that we are children of God.
Romans 8:16 - The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God,
12 - The Spirit produces in us the fruit or evidence of His work and presence.
Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.
13 - He distributes spiritual gifts and manifestations (the outshining) of His presence to and through the body.
1 Corinthians 12:4 - There are various gifts, but the same Spirit.
Hebrews 2:4 - God also bore them witness with signs and wonders and diverse miracles and with gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His own will.
14 - The Holy Spirit anoints us for ministry.
Luke 4:18 - “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;”
Acts 10:38 - how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
15 - The Holy Spirit washes and renews us.
Titus 3:5 - not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of rebirth and the renewal of the Holy Spirit,
16 - He brings unity and oneness to the body.
Ephesians 4:3 - be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 2:14-18 - For He is our peace, who has made both groups one and has broken down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of the commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile both to God into one body through the cross, thereby slaying the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
17 - He is our guarantee and deposit of the future resurrection.
2 Corinthians 1:22 - be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
2 Corinthians 5:5 - Now He who has created us for this very thing is God, who also has given to us the guarantee of the Spirit.
18 - The Holy Spirit seals us unto the day of redemption.
Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also, after hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and after believing in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
Ephesians 4:30 - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you are sealed for the day of redemption.
19 - The Holy Spirit sets us free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2 - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
20 - He quickens our mortal bodies.
Romans 8:11 - But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that lives in you.
21 - He reveals the deep things of God to us.
1 Corinthians 2:10 - But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
22 - He shows what has been given to us from God.
1 Corinthians 2:12 - Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.
23 - The Spirit lives in us.
Romans 8:9 - You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
1 Corinthians 3:16 - Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Acts 21:11 - When he had arrived, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own hands and feet, saying, “The Holy Spirit says, ‘In this manner the Jews at Jerusalem shall bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’ ”
25 - The Spirit is the agent by which we are baptized into the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether we are slaves or free, and we have all been made to drink of one Spirit.
