Jesus, our Substitute bore both our sins and our sicknesses that we might be delivered from them. To better understand the promise of healing in scripture, it is important to know the reason for sickness and disease in our world. When Adam fell we lost everything. The fall had dire, lasting consequences upon humanity. Sickness and disease are one of the consequences of sin. The good news is that Jesus came to remedy and restore everything that Adam lost.
